River Rangers Clean-Up Drive | World Clean-up Day

On the occasion of World Clean-up Day and the third anniversary, The River Rangers conducted a collective River Clean-up Drive with NGO partner Life Project 4 Youth – LP4Y, Earth Day Network-India and U.S. Consulate General Kolkata at Mullick Ghat.
In total, they collected 826kg of plastic waste from the banks of the Hooghly River in 30 minutes.

A special thanks to Elizabeth Hamilton the Consulate General chief of Kolkata, who had participated in the clean-up drive and shared her view and experience with the whole team. And hats off to the 22 enthusiastic volunteers from LP4Y and Earth Day Network who had done tremendous hard work cleaning the ghat.
Also, Thanks to Nirit Datta for sharing his expertise with the whole team and spreading awareness among the local community.

Since 2019 every weekend River Ranger had been tirelessly cleaning the banks of Hooghly River and inland water bodies to save the ocean and the environment from plastic pollution.
